Sudeep

A brief history of the members of Zambalita

Bashira, Shahina Anisa and Nai'la were dancing together in a Troupe called Ya Sahlem for six years, which was based in Redwood City. Radya joined some years later. Sudeep and Ariel both have varied histories in other dance troupes and joined just as the troupe was undergoing a new directorship. Shauna, Judia and Tiura are from Half Moon Bay and had been dancing together for twelve years. Katalina and Adrieanna joined the troupe in 2006 after debuting at the Little India restaurant in Redwood City. Katalina has been out on maternity leave for some time now, but is dying to come back soon. Sevan is the latest member of Zambalita.

Zambalita is now celebrating it's fourth year of self directorship. The many dances they perform are either self choreographed or adapted from other choreographies from sources such as Suhaila, Samira or Alyne. They range in style from Tribal Fusion, Turkish and Flamenco influenced to Cabaret and continue to develop their scope.

Zambalita's dynamic style comes from the fusion of each individual dancer's unique strengths, talents, and experience.  It is this combination that results in dazzling performances every time!
