Shauna has been studying and performing bellydance for fourteen years. Her teachers and exemplars include Malia de Felice and Amina Goodyear,
and she has enjoyed workshops with Cassandra, Dalia Carella, Delilah,
Farida Fahmy, Jillina, Morocco, Nadia Hamdi, Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Rashid Salama, Shareen el Safy, and Suhaila Salimpour.

Shauna's styles and costumes include Egyptian cabaret and beledi and Tunisian ethnic as well as American bellydance. She balances the sword, clay water pot, and shamadan. Long years as a serious musician--Western classical, Scottish traditional--have informed her understanding of dance as "visual music." The daughter of a teacher of Martha Graham's technique, Shauna creates original choreographies, and teaches beginning and intermediate Bellydance For All Bodies.
